About Sowing SEEDS

We are a locally led funding Programme with a difference – not only do we want to support your great project ideas, but we also want you to help decide how the funding is spent. Sowing SEEDS is all about you, and the other people in the area like you – people who really care about the local community they live in, want to see positive change, and want to be a part of making that happen.

Sowing SEEDS covers the Community Partnerships Executive North Dorset (CPEND) area of North and East Dorset and the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), who working together have a re-allocated budget of £1.944 million (originally £2.85 million) to improve the economic wellbeing of the area with funding available until the end of 2013. The funding is being delivered through the Local Action Group, a Group that wants to support your project ideas.

FUNDING NEWS - New Project Applications Welcome – Sowing SEEDS has successfully retained a significant proportion of its original budget allocation after the results of a review carried out by Defra were announced recently. The review was implemented by the government as part of the spending review announced last year to reduce the overall national budget deficit.

Although the overall budget allocation is now lower than anticipated for the duration of the programme, the revised schedule means that there is still nearly £0.5M of funds available and means that Sowing SEEDS is once again able to help support and endorse new project applications.
